The product elegantly brings together a screen that emits light through the fabric to give a sense of integrity to the product.
The display is controlled by an App allowing the user to scroll through the verses, show the text in the Arabic or Latin alphabet, and increase the size and speed. Sajdah also includes a speaker that recites the prayers so the user can learn the proper intonation and rhythm for their pronunciation.
Sajdah was a product designed in Qatar in compliance with the sharia law rules applicable to technology products.
A crowdfunding campaign was launched on the Launch Good platform on April 20, 2021 reaching its funding goal in one hour. It has also been featured in international media outlets such as The Washington Post, Aljazeera, and BBC News.
